Problems That Homeowners Should Leave To A Professional Plumber – Northern Beaches Households Confessions

In Australia, homeowners spend thousands of dollars on plumbing problems every year. Sadly, most of us aren’t aware that these costs should not have gone up if we had only hired a professional to fix it in the first place. When it comes to minor leaks and small plumbing issues, things become worse when we try to fix it on our own. And when things become unmanageable, that’s when we call the pros to take charge. Instead of paying the minor maintenance fees, we end up paying for a major repair.

Paying a little and solving the root cause immediately is a lot better than spending a lot more money on a huge repair job. If you encounter a minor leak problem at home, it might be a better idea to skip the first aid kit and call a professional. There are some things that are best left in the hands of an expert plumber. Northern Beaches homeowners list down some of these minor problems that we may ignore.

1.       Water leak – A leaking pipe means you have a hole somewhere. It may be a small one at first but it will eventually become bigger as the pressure inside the pipe pushes more water out. If you put a simple patch to cover it up, this might just be a temporary solution. If you want to avoid a bigger leak and water-build up, it’s best you contact your local plumber as soon as possible.

2.     Blockages – A clogged drainage can be a very troublesome and dirty problem. Usually, these are the types of plumbing issues that you don’t spot immediately. You only find out when there is a terrible stench leaking somewhere in your house or when dirty water starts finding its way through your walls or ceiling. If you see early signs like a slow draining sink or if you have been experiencing frequent clogs, you should not have second thoughts and call your plumber immediately.

3.       Gas build-up and leaks – We have no way of cleaning our pipes. Usually, we only replace them when a major problem arises. However, when there are minor clogs, there is an accumulation of dirt and microorganism start to thrive. They release dangerous gases like CO2 and methane; which put pressure on the interior surface of the pipes. This is extremely dangerous because it’s flammable and it can kill your family without you even noticing it.

4.       Faulty toilet – A toilet that doesn’t flush immediately may be solved by your plunger. However, this is a very important sign for a professional plumber because it may be an indication of an even bigger problem. So instead of doing all that dirty work and making things worse, why not just call your plumber over?
